Class Title: Curiosity and Questions - Jesus and Science
2019-20 Class Description:
Utilizing the Bible as well as resources from Harvard's Veritas Forum, Francis Collins' book, "The Language of God," and Richard Swenson's book, ""More Than Meets the Eye: Fascinating Glimpses of God's Power and Design," we will explore how a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and our Reformed understanding of Christianity can be complimentary rather than competitive with scientific perspectives. This adult Sunday school class (formerly "Gospel Encounters") will address the inaccurate binary presentation of Christian faith versus atheism presented in popular culture today. Join us as we grow together in awe and understanding of our amazing world created by God, now informed by scientific discoveries like DNA and theories of multi-dimensional reality like String Theory and Quantum Mechanics. Led by Dr. Wesley Fryer.
Offered as an adult Sunday School class at First Presbyterian Church of Edmond, Oklahoma.
